Hello, internet friends. Something about the changing of seasons makes updates feel appropriate. Christmas cards, spring cleaning, and merciless Georgia heat. It’s summer.

Update 1 - I’ve finished a draft of my next book, which is all I can say until it’s been filtered through a few more minds and keyboards. But a draft done always feels good.

Update 2 - I was also asked to be the judge for SFF for this year’s GAYA (Georgia Author of the Year Awards). Those are out now! I strongly recommend both North by Ann Michelle Harris and The Gryphon King by Sara Omer, my selections for winner and finalist, respectively. You can read my citations here.

Update 3 - Alan Dreams of Giants will be free on Kindle to pick up tomorrow or the day after (June 30 or July 1, PDT, I believe). This celebrates a year since winning GAYA (since I take forever to update distributor blurbs), the present and abysmal heat wave, and the spirit of summer reading.
